Below are some notes from a Rick Warren Podcast I took for a friend who God has blessed with many, many opportunities. He is a lot like you and me. We never want to be too busy for God.
- Don’t stress: Time Management is not doing more but doing what God “wants done”
- Beware the barrenness of a busy life
- Success is the management of ideas
- Make a NOT to-do list
- Keep a time log
- Group similar tasks in time
- Learn to control technology instead of letting it control you
- As a leader, you are constantly disappointing someone
- Let family tell you how much time to spend together
- Plato: “Treat life as play”
- Don’t sweat the small stuff. It’s all small stuff
- Greatest use of time is love
- Greatest expression of love is time
- It’s all about Love, Relationships at Top of to-do list
- Align to your strengths
- Learn to use “loose change” time
- Don’t overprepare
- Do hardest things 1st
- I have just enough time to do God’s will
- Relaxed Concern
I am not God
Jesus never ran
Bluebird...I spent some time reading your blogs this morning. It's just as you are in real life - faithful, open, seeking - and most of all - spiritually encouraging to others. Your journey in faith and your willingness to openly share it, inspires mine. I'm thankful for you Brother!
ReplyDeleteBill,
ReplyDeleteThe transfomation of your life is one that makes just sit back in awe and smile, reminded again that God is Alive and mighty. You have encourged many of us with your humility and forceful abandon with which you have taken the Kingdom (Matt 11:12).
